1960's DORMER BUNGALOW

This project involved the complete redesign and transformation of a dated 1960s dormer bungalow into a striking contemporary family home. Through a combination of carefully designed extensions and a full internal reconfiguration, the property was substantially enlarged to provide spacious, modern accommodation tailored to the needs of family living.

Large dormer extensions were added to both the front and rear elevations, creating generous first floor accommodation including a luxurious master bedroom with en suite and dressing room and enlarged bedrooms. Additional space was created through extensions over and around the existing garage, providing a further room, a utility room and valuable storage space.

The external appearance of the property was completely reinvented with a contemporary palette of natural slate roofing, off white rendered walls and Siberian larch cladding. Powder-coated aluminium windows, oversized sliding doors and a feature entrance door were carefully selected to maximise natural light and create a strong architectural statement.

Internally, the layout was redesigned to create bright, open plan living spaces with a seamless connection to the garden, while the landscaping and outdoor entertaining areas complete the transformation.

The result is a modern, light filled family home that bears little resemblance to the original property.
